Eternal Weaponsmith: What if he could craft?
On my most recent trip to the FoW when we came across the Eternal Weaponsmith on our way to the forge I thought to myself, "If the forgemaster can forge armor, why cant the weaponsmith craft weapons?
I'm thinking that for something like 15 ecto + 15 shards he can forge you a weapon of your choice, kinda like the Deacon of Whispers where you trade in the armbrace of truth for a super rare weapon. It would of course come with a rare totally new skin, req 9, gold, and an inscription slot. So as opposed to a: Tormented Longbow, Tormented Axe, Tormented Staves, Focuses and Scepters( for all spellcasting atributes) etc. We would have Obsidian Axe, Obsidian Longbow, Obsidian Stave etc. It would be a prestegious new skin for the guild wars community to collect and flaunt.

Well considering this would be somewhat easy to obtain for any normal player, id be more able to like the idea if it was 15/15 instead of 50/50

i guess that for some ectos and shards, shadow/ghost/ethernal weapons can be crafted, theres alot of blue collectors weapons around which ahave quite good stats, but no one wants them becuase they prefer gold weapons to blue weapons,

That way the non-eBayers and non-55s can get some FoW-related stuff.
IIRC, doesn't the Eternal Weaponsmith have the ghost ele model? XD They need to make him more...weaponsmithy, both in appearance and function.

Actually what I'd expect is for the price to spike, then slowly return to its current value as everyone gets the weapons they want. Like what happened with material prices at the factions release (I wasn't playing guild wars over the Nightfall release).
I probably won't be using any weapons crafted here, but thats not a good reason to go against this suggestion.

i think it would also be a good idea to customize the weapon for the player buying it in order to keep the prestige of the weapon rather than paying others to buy the weapon for someone else.

What about making hit have 'ghostly' skins...
Like the ones many ghost have (greeny and translucent) but with different shape and skins.

Double modded staves please.
I don't need to think "Man I want that fire staff .. oh, it's only single modded, screw that, I'm not paying 800k for a single modded staff"
Thanks Tormented staves.
Would be a sweet idea. I like the ghostly green idea.
Got the eternal shield and bow, why not an Eternal Sword, Eternal staff/wand/offhand.

maybe gives diamonds a use for crafting? diamonds and shards maybe?
anyways good idea, in all honesty. not many good ideas on forums but this one sure is. would it be quest related like the armor? or just "hey good job you came to me now ill craft you a wep" cause im pretty sure he dosnt show up on map untill the popups die.

I'm thinking it would be quest related because the Weaponsmith isnt exactly that hard to reach, probably something like the forgemaster where you complete 2 quests by him and then have the option of crafting your weapon.

This seems like a good idea. I just hope the weapons look better than the armor sets. o_o
